Pan-Ya

Who here got tired of all the "bread boutiques" in Jakarta? All sell identical breads, with identical-looking outlets, and oh-too-light bread that won't fill up your tummy even after you ate four of them? (ok, that maybe just my tummy)You should try Pan-Ya. Bravely set up in (rather dreary) FX Sudirman in the middle of posher eateries, Pan-Ya begs to differ. You can find authentic Japanese bread with daring taste.

My favorites are their fried bread with curry filling (IDR 12,000 - pricey, but very worth it), assortment of walnut bread, and their matcha+red bean muffins.

And if you feel like splurging, their tiramisu (IDR 27,500 per small cup) is TO DIE FOR. It's definitely one of the best tiramisu I ever tried.
